Easter Craft day, 2

Wednesday we were having another Easter craft day. A nice group of kids came and turned the church hall up side down once again. It's great fun.

The boys at one table...
the girls at another...
and Pelidis was having their own table (while drinking a well deserved cup of coffee). Nasia is going to a reunion from a camp last summer and she's making easter cards for all her friends. She's been very dedicated I must say, way to go!
Today it was not Paok but the Albanian flag that required a lot of time, patience and lots of work. Again I'm impressed. He made it just in time for everyone to go home. Happy he also made it to the bench where we could fix his artwork with the iron.

And our bigger project for the day, the empty tomb with the women that are greeted by the angels (Luke 24)

Good old stuff

Tomorrow we are having a bbq in church.
I have promised to make something sweet (my superyummy banana-chocolate cake), but...
we have forgotten our mixer at Pilidis house
So this cool Kenwood that our landlord has left in the flat came in handy :-)

Easter craft day

Before with excitments of what will come and then during, a room full of activity.

Easter is not only Jesus ... the favourite football team Paok has to be represented as well.

Easter is not only Paok though... Jesus is risen is how they in Greece are greating one another at eastertime, a wounderful truth! He's risen and he's alive today!

Easter craft workshop

Now I finally have made some cushions for our chairs.
Well they are not supernice creations but not bad, they work fine..

I should be in bed by now, I'm not feeling realy good, a bit sore throat.
But guess I'm still here because I had to rewrite the sign three times for Saturdays easter event we are arranging ... and had to be silly with Marjo for a bit, because we where both to tired to stay proper and because I'm to stubbern to wait with putting the pictures of my creations on our blog :-)

www.streetlights.gr

Streetlights were having a day of outreach and fun in Thessaloniki.
We were a bit late but got to join in for a while. A great bunch of youngsters!

Philemon is giving a report to the prayer team in Athens...
We had to stay until Monday when Kenneth would get his new passport from the consulate. A beautiful family with a fun 3 year old that love to play with cars were hosting us!
We were also able to meet some other friends and enjoy the sound of a big city.
But now it's really great to be back home again, home sweet home.
A 3 year old has done some homedecoration.

Our cat likes to go for a walk together with us. The whole winter he has been trying to come with us when we are going somewhere. He loves when we allow him to stroll along with us. Sometimes he thinks we are going too far with too many new smells and impressions at ones. Still it's fun to be with "mum and dad". Today however he was not happy at all, everywhere there where cars, people hammering and banging, all kinds of activites. The city is truly waking up after a few months of slumbering. People are renovating, painting, moving in, throwing away old stuff and start smiling like they haven't done for months. Spring is here and summer is on its way!
In the workshop we have also been more busy with preparations for the summer. We have made a collection of bracelets that will be available in the summer for the one who need a souvenir for a loved one at home or maybe for your own arm...
