This has been a very hot week.
It's about the same temperature as in Sweden (34 C) but more humid so we 're all sitting staring and doing as little as possible till the sun goes down and then we start to feel alive again and ready to do something useful.
It has also been a good week in many ways.
We're having a friend of Lena from Sweden visiting, a friend from Bibleschool 17 years ago.
Great to just spend time, mainly we're being really lazy but every now and again we're finding our strength to go down to the beach :-)
Kenneth and Lena has also had a good workweek. We have started a habit of going out every Wednesday to talk to people about our faith. This week we ended up talking to a friend of Marjo (they where out having a coffee) and she prayed to welcome Jesus in to her life, so we are rejoicing with the angels :-)
This week has also had it's frustrations...
We finally got a visit from the internet guy who came to install our internet. It only took him 9 weeks to get here :-) and now it's still not working, every now and again we are given some hope but just for some minuets and then the connection is broken again...
But right now it's working and the wind is blowing a cool nice breeze.
We have a big bag of sunripe tomatoes from our friends garden.
And maybe this afternoon we are going back to the beach....
So life is good! And God is faithfull.

Our own apartment
Now we have got our own apartment. We've been sleaping in the church facilities so far, it was ok and we could stay there for free but it was very noisy as it is located right on the bar and disco street. Our new apartment is very good in many ways, we have extra room so we can host people that come and visit us like family, friends, guests to the church, other missionairies. We wanted a place that we could use for many purposes.
Right now Lenas family is here so they've been our first guests. They leave tomorrow wednesday and they will also take our car back to Sweden, so now we need to find a new one. We want one that's practical in many ways. We're thinking of something like a 7 seated vehicle so we can drive around and pick up people for the Sunday service, cause on the island the public comunications are not so good, there are not so many buses and some people that live on the other side of the island have difficoulties to get to the church.
Last Sunday we had an "familie dinner" a picnic bbq with the church. It was a lot of fun. We all gathered at pastor Dimitri and his wifes Marjos home and ate then we went to a beach for a swim.

Midsummer day.
In Sweden they celebrated midsummer day the 25 of july and so did we but on Thassos.
We made the famous swedish sandwichcake, and for dessert we had sticky cake (a form of chocolate cake). It was a success.
It seems like God has planted his thoughts in us (as in many others here). We had the idea of working with media, TV/film, not really sure exactly how. But now we have meet with people from some other christian mission organisations (locals mostly) that are in the starting process, wanting to work with media. The main challenge is to get everybody to work together. So please pray for that, cause we as christians are not running a "one man show" we are all building the house of God and if we don't realise that and start helping each other we'll never see any real change in our countries. God is not going to give glory to any single church or organisation!
Now for the work here on Thassos one woman said once that she saw a vision about our church, two streams of water coming together under a bridge, meaning one international stream and one local. And we see it lots of times, tourists that come here and they receive Jesus as their saviour. For example last sunday one girl from England gave her life to Jesus. But that is quite obvious, of course we need to tell everybody that Jesus loves them, tourists as well as locals!

Back on Thassos.
Now we have found our own apartment. Very nice place, with an extra room so we can host guests.
It is good that we have found it, because the place we're staying at now is so noisy. We're happy to have the two extra beds because we know we will have a lot of people coming through. And most important so we can invite people we get to know on the island home for dinner.
It will cost a bit (in the church we wear staying for free) so all you who pray for us please pray for steady income.
We need about 1000 euro each month for our living expences, including rent, electricity, water, food, gas etc.

Greetings from Northen Macedonia
At an internet cafe in beautiful Ohrid, Fyrom.
We are at an 24-7 conference.
It's encouraging to meet with people and having time to think.
God is at the move.
