We are Kenneth and Lena Mäki, a Swedish couple that have been living on Thassos, Greece, for two years (May 2010- April 2012).
We've been married since February of 2009 and enjoy the journey that is going up and down but still taking us forward.
Kenneth is from Juoksengi, a small village in northen Sweden, where the polar circle is meeting the Torne River. Lena is from the suburbs of Stockholm, where the sweet water from Lake Malar meet the salty Baltic sea.
Kenneth moved to Stockholm and it was where they met the first time. When contact was made more personal though Kenneth had moved back to his homeregion about 1000km away, but distance is no hinder for love, is it... Anyway, now we are married and life brought us about 3000km the other way, together.
Kenneth likes new things, do filming, play computer games, learn about history, have practical projects going.
Lena likes hiking, photo, baking, finding fun sticks and stones, watching people at the central station.
Harald is our cat, he came with the internet. We went to sign up for internet and they had this 4 weeks old kitten that was abandoned by it's mother. We couldn't but bring it home. He's now loyal like a dog and like to take walks with us, even though it's sometimes too daring for the cat he really is.
Now we are back in Stockholm, expecting our twinboys in September. Kenneth is working fulltime at Tingvallahemmet, a "motivation home" primarily for addicts. Lena is doing some hours at the same workplace but will not be able to work for much longer as the tummy is growing.
